Argon Technology have teamed up with ABB to introduce an entry-level solution into robotic welding for West Australian industry. The ArcPack robotic welding solution is a system designed as a cost-efficient, easy-to-use and reliable robotic arc welding function package for quality welding.

Included in the package is the IRB 1410 6-axis robot, the torch, the wire feeder plus the power and signal cables, as well as the power source, and the IRC5 controller which includes the top of the range FlexPendant. Software is also included.

The FlexPendant provides easy one-point-of-programming, and along with its interactive touch screen the end result is highly productive on-line programming of robotic welding applications.

The ArcPack achieves high and persistent welding quality on mild steel with CO2 /mixed gas and solid wire as the robot, process equipment and welding software are all highly integrated to reach maximum quality and productivity. 

Argon Technology is able to bring this robotic welding solution to industry due to the partnership signing with ABB declaring Argon Technology a Certified Partner of ABB's Global Partner Program in October 2006.
